Holiday home La Maison Chouette in the North East of France.

You are very welcome in La Maison Chouette.This holiday home is a renovated 18th century farmhouse in the French village of Bousseraucourt in the northeast of France.

Bousseraucourt lies on a steep hill in the Haute Saone department of the Bourgogne Franche Comté region. The rental house itself is a cottage (Gîte rural) and is rustic and comfortable with lots of old details like an original fireplace, oak beams and thick stone walls.

In and behind the house you are completely alone and have access to your own kitchen, a terrace in the garden behind the house, your own sauna in the house and your own pool with access to a large meadow that goes with it.

The combination of a private, luxurious and beautiful old atmosphere in a very rustic French village offers a unique holiday experience !

~ Recreation ~

 - Hiking in the area;
 - Your own swimming pool;
 - Try the local wine (chardonnay, pinot-gris, auxerrois, pinot-noir, gamay), in the form of white wine, red wine, rose and the methode traditionnelle (champagne);
 - A BBQ (Weber) is available in the garden;
In the house there is a list of restaurants and shops nearby;
 - Two mountain bikes are available;
 - Visit the flea markets (every weekend in the summer);
 - Visit other interesting cities in the area, such as Vittel, Langres, Vesoul, Dijon, Beaune or Besancon;
    
Recreation for children;
    
 - Adventure parc (parc d'aventures) in Vittel (tree climbing, 30 minutes drive);
 - Pedal boots (Faire du pedalo) and mini golf in Bourbonne-les-Bains;
 - The private pool in the garden (6.10m long and 1.30m high);
 - Croquet game and other board games like Scrabble, Rummikub or cards;
 - Modern TV with USB / HDMI and Chromecast and a DVD player;
 - A day at the Nigloland amusement park (a 90-minute drive);
 - Trout fishing (or buying / eating) in Darney (20 minutes drive, for all ages);
 - There are two swings and a rope ladder behind the pool;
    
Sauna;
 - In the holiday home you have your own sauna. It's an infrared sauna for two people which is located next to the lower bathroom in a specially constructed room. Very pleasant in spring and autumn, but also when the weather is bad in the summer time;
    
- Professional massage and yoga at Le Gui in Bousseraucourt or in agreement with you in your own cottage.
    
Restaurants;
 - In the house you will find a small list of restaurants in the area;
    
In addition;
    
 - The boulanger (the bakery) stops in front of your door every other day between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.;
 - There are supermarkets in Corre, Jussey and Bourbonne-les-Bains (approx. 7 to 15 minutes by car).
 - Telephone: There is a 3G / 4G network in Bousseraucourt;
 - TV: There is a modern TV with DVD player with USB / HDMI key input. There is a chromecast and some French and international channels;
 - Internet: In the entire holiday home you have WIFI free of charge (10 Mbps, streaming);
 - Additional: the barn to park your (second) car; a small cellar and an herb garden.

~ How is the house furnished ? ~

    
 - On the ground floor there is 1 bedroom with adouble bed. Next to the room there is a modern one bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, heated towel rack and hair dryer. If necessary, there is also a convertable bed in the living room. Most rooms have insect screens. The house remains pleasantly cool during the summer and well (pre) heated in other seasons.
    
 - There is a spacious bedroom on the first floor. It is a bedroom with two single beds and a modern bathroom with bathtub, sink and heated towel rack. There is also an extra separate toilet (i.e. a total of 2 toilets withine accommodation). Towels (3pp p / w), tea towels, etc. are available and the beds are already made when you arrive.
    
 - We can also provide a cot of 1.20 x 0.60 cm or 0.90 x 0.50 cm, as well as a children's bathtub and a high chair.
    
 - On the ground floor an infrared sauna is located in a seperate sauna room. Additional towels for the sauna are available. The sauma is also equipped with a CD player and it is bright enough to read in if you like.
    
 - The kitchen includes: A ceramic plate, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a convection-/microwave-/combination oven, a toaster, a coffee machine, a kettle as well as everything you need, such as cutlery and crockery.
    
 - In the living room: a wood stove, a sofa and a dining area.
    
 - If you want you can use our washing machine (in the house next door) for 3 euros.
